He was predeceased by: his parents, Lillian Francis Cowdell Gates and Paul Wilder Gates. He is survived by: his son Lansing; his wife Elaine Dalrymple; his daughters, Alice and Grace; his former wife Margot Wolters; his sons, Lance, John and Geoffrey; his grandchildren, Siara, Madison, Taylor, Gavin, Colin, Wolfgang and Sebastian; his great grandchild Amelia Wilder Gates; and his sisters, Lillian, Annette and Rosemary.
There will be an informal gathering of friends and family at the Burdett Fire House on Sunday, October 8, from 12–2 p.m. **In lieu of flowers, please renew your Farm Bureau membership.
