It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Catherine Griffith of Burdett, New York, who passed away on April 3, 2023, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Charlie Sherwood and Peggy Sherwood; her husband Fred Taney; her daughter Peggy; her sister Betty Morrell; and her brother-in-law Gary Griffith.

She is survived by: her daughters, Lisa Grandel (Ron) of Virginia, Terry Taney (Chico) of Burdett and Debbie Griffith (Bill McNicholas) of Waterloo; her brother-in-law Richard Griffith of Trumansburg; her son-in-law John DeMinck; and her granddaughters, Priscilla Hurley of Nashville, Sabrina Hurley of Pennsylvania, Mellissa Galloway, Kelley Cring and Jessica DeRitter. She is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
