She is survived by: her husband Jerry; her children, Michea (James) and Jerry (Jessica); her grandchildren, Jerica, Jasmine, Jerry II, Meiasha, RaiZiya and Tiajeri; her great grandchildren, Ali'Yanna, Mason, Shateka and Summer; and her siblings-in-law, Bobby, Kenneth, Bette and Ada. She is also survived by cousins, family, and friends.
An active member of Second Temple Baptist Church and the NAACP, Theresa's contributions to advancing education and community service earned her numerous awards and recognitions.
