She was predeceased by: her parents, William Lawrence and Laura O. Mason; her former husband David Lee Fayson; her husband Benjamin F. Slaughter; her son Bryan F. Slaughter; her grandson Eric Paul; and her sisters, Marshan I. Mason-Gainer (late Rudy Gainer) and Sarah Sanders.
She is survived by: her children, Paul H. Mason Watson (Laurie), Davene K. Fayson (John Smith), Lauryn Fayson (Michael) and Marc Fayson (Lisa); her stepson Damon Slaughter; her daughter Rosie Cross; her brother Vincent Mason (Lolly); and her grandchildren, Shalita (Tanisa), Brittany, Jasmine, Shelina, Kyra, Camren, Robert and Kataleaya.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Bethel AME Church (1525 Michigan Ave, Buffalo, NY 14209). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
