He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Juanita Smith (Kozlow); his children, Cindy Lichtenberger (Joey) and Merritt, Jr.; and his grandchildren, Joy Clancy, Julia Szafranski, Daniel Lichtenberger, Kelly, Hope and Shannon Newton.
