He was predeceased by: his wife Sandra Higuera (Leshinskie); and his sister Evelyn Higuera. He is survived by: his children, Matthew Higuera, Jr. (Julie Luzier) and Brande Crawford (Robert); his grandchildren, Jacob, Alexis, Bobby, Hannah, Elianna and Amelia; and his brother Michael Gomez (Judy). He is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
