She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Carncross and Mary Ann Carncross; and her brothers, Donald and Douglas Carncross. She is survived by: her son Alexander Carncross; her grandchild Allison Carncross; and her siblings, Debra Kindron (Mark) and David Carncross. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mary Ellen's memory to Hospice Foundation of WNY, Inc. or American Cancer Society.
