Marie A. Sarcinelli Obituary
The Owner and Operator of Burst Tavern & Grove for almost 60 years, Marie A. Sarcinelli (nee Burst), served her "Last Call" on Tuesday, June 24, 2024, at the age of 92. The Tavern was family-run for 77 years and over the years, that she cared for it, she greeted her friends and customers -- to her they were one and the same -- with a smile and a hug. The jukebox would be blaring, and at some point, she would get out her "devil stick," a homemade tambourine and string on a pogo stick, and the party would get livelier. That was Marie. She was a fun-loving lady and the queen of the Party. After retirement, Marie spent private party time with her children and grandchildren, making new memories and also finding time to keep bowling.
Marie was the beloved wife of the late Norman Dell and late John Sarcinelli.
The devoted mother of Linda (Robert) Dettelis, Cindy (Dan Braun) McKillen, Rose (late Mike) Klein, Pauline (John) Guenther, and late Ann Marie Sarcinelli.
A loving grandmother of Jason Wolfe, Mark Wolfe, Nicole (Jon) LaBelle, Samantha Klein, Joseph Crapsi, and Matthew Guenther and great-grandmother of Anthony, Nicholas, Olivia, and Leo. She was also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The family will be present on Thursday, 6/27/2024 from 3-7 PM at the PIETSZAK FUNERAL HOME, 2400 William Street (near Harlem) where a funeral service will be at 6:30 PM.
The family appreciates your prayers and concerns and would like to thank you for your support.
