He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, Mario DeCecco and Nancy DeCecco; his sibling AmyLyn Hark (Jeffrey); and his nephew Michael Joseph Hark. He was also cherished by many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, June 26th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the C. Mertz and Son Funeral Home, Inc. (911 Englewood Ave, Buffalo, NY 14223). A funeral service was held on Thursday, June 27th 2024 at 9:30 AM at the St. John the Baptist Church (1085 Englewood Ave, Buffalo, NY 14223).

“Met Joe at Amici’s and we instantly became friends. What’s great guy! It was a devastating shock to hear the news this morning. I will no longer get his calls, “Moose, I need tickets ithe Bruins game in Boston.” I will miss his big smile and infectious attitude. “ Hey Moose, want to go to the U.S. Open tomorrow in NYC?” I’m so glad I said yes!
