He was loved and cherished by many people including: his daughter Amber Masecchia (Daniel); his grandchildren, Elliana and Daniel; his parents, Thelma Thornton and Szurczynski; his grandmother Helen "Bocie" Kozakowski; and his sibling Thomas Thornton. He was also cherished by aunts, uncles and cousins.
