He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Johnson and Stacia Johnson; and his brother Paul M. Johnson. He is survived by: his son Brian M. (Holly Shaw); his wife Patricia M. Johnson; his granddaughters, Charlotte and Margot; his siblings, Claire E. Johnson and Amy C. Johnson; and his siblings-in-law, Katherine Weinholtz, Eileen Antokal (Jeffrey), Kevin, Michael P., Neil (Julie) and Sean McGillicuddy (Tiffaney).

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Buffalo and Roswell Park.
