He was loved and cherished by many people including: his close friend Cherie Loschiavo; his children, Alexis Skoczylas (Lance Woods), Paige Skoczylas (Matt Baker), Joseph Skoczylas and Nicholas "Nick"; his grandchildren, Jolea and Mateo; his parents, Sharon Plucinski and Russ Plucinski; his aunt Rebecca Dalziel; and his cousin Debbie Dalziel (Christine). He was also cherished by many family members and friends.

Visitation was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:30 PM at the C. Mertz and Son Funeral Home, Inc. (911 Englewood Ave, Buffalo, NY 14223). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 at 3:30 PM at the same location. A celebration of life was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Polish Cadets (927 Grant St, Buffalo, NY 14207).
