Ida J. Rine Obituary

We are sad to announce that on January 31, 2025, at the age of 95, Ida J. Rine of Buffalo, New York passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Ida may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the echoes of her kindness, the warmth of her embrace, and the light of her enduring love.

She was predeceased by: her husband John J. Rine Sr.; her parents, Joseph Lanza and Margarete Lanza; and her sister Lucy Paolini (late Joseph). She is survived by: her children, Joanne Carlson (Robert), Anthony Rine (Jean), John Rine Jr. (Patty) and Joseph Rine (Linda); and her sister Rose Schafer (Robert). She is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and friends.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 5th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Lomabrdo Funeral Home (Northtowns Chapel) (885 Niagara Fls Blvd, Amherst, NY 14226). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, February 6th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Our Lady of Hope Church (18 Greenwood Pl, Buffalo, NY 14213).
