She was predeceased by: her husband John Kawa; her sister Elsie McElhinney (late William); and her parents, John Weiss and Stephanie Weiss. She is survived by: her daughters, Susan Kasprzyk (Ronald) and Nancy Bush (Pete); her grandchildren, Stephanie (Brian) and Petie (Faith); her great grandchildren, Cody, Cooper and Caroline; and her sister Dorothy Watt (late Carmen). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, December 12th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Daniel R. Smolarek Funeral Home - Cheektowaga (2510 Union Rd, Cheektowaga, NY 14227). A prayer was held on Thursday, December 12th 2024 at 6:00 PM at the same location.
Donations may be made in Helen's name to the Brothers of Mercy Nursing Home, 10570 Bergtold Rd Clarence, NY 14031.
