He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. Arthur J. Schaefer and Elizabeth Ann "Betty" Schaefer. He is survived by: his wife Marlene Ann Schaefer RN; his children, Dawn Marie Schaefer-Jex, Jamie Lea Schaefer-Poling (Daniel Paul Poling) and Alyce Daniela Schaefer-Brooks (Andrew Eric Brooks); his grandchildren, Danni Elizabeth Jex, Liviana Faye Poling, Quinton Eric Brooks and Brooks; and his siblings, A. Dale Schaefer, Janet Marie Sebastian and Nancy Beth Murray. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Roberts Funeral Home (1671 Maple Rd, Williamsville, NY 14221). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 at 9:00 AM at the Our Lady of Victory National Shrine and Basilica (767 Ridge Rd, Lackawanna, NY 14218).
