He was predeceased by: his parent James N. Athans. He is survived by: his parent Patricia A. Athans; and his siblings, Michael Athans (Patricia), Barbara Athans (Al Heilemann), Paul Athans (Kathy) and Susan Gramlich (Kevin). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
