He was predeceased by: his wife Cynthia J. "Cindy" Allen Flynn; and his brother Gary J. "Dink" Flynn. He is survived by: his children, Daniel O. Flynn (Sandra), Kelly A. Flynn (Chris Schwab) and Courtney M. Flynn (Mike Bavisotto); his siblings, Michael Flynn (Kathy), Mary Riedy (Michael) and Suzanne M. Welninski (Kevin); and his grandchildren, Joey, Kaylee, Danny and Damond. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Roswell Park Cancer Institute. Dan asked that his body be donated to science, but science said, "Hell NO!!".
