He was predeceased by: his parents, John Smathers and Vonnie Smathers (Campbell). He is survived by: his wife Jane Smathers (Barker); his sons, Brian Smathers, Brad Smathers (Tricia) and Titan; his grandchild Isla; his sisters, Betty Smathers and Roxie Smathers; and also Drew Melton. He is also survived by nieces and nephews, friends.
