With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Charlotte F. Oczek (Buffalo, New York), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Charlotte left this world on January 12, 2025 at the age of 99, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her spouse Aloisius J. Oczek; her daughter Diane M. Gentile; and her granddaughter Jessica M. Caputi. She is survived by: her daughter Debra A. Caputi (James); her son-in-law Gerald Gentile (Amy Kenyon); her grandchildren, Kristen E. Gentile (James Krustapentus), Nicholas J. Gentile (Hannah Wesolowski), Heather A. Caputi and James T. Caputi (Erin); and her great grandchildren, Emily Charlotte, Claire Elizabeth, William Peter, Eva Diane, Avery Marie and James Jeffrey. She is also survived by seven siblings; also survived by many nieces, nephews and dear friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Amherst Chapel (5200 Sheridan Dr, Amherst, NY 14221). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. Gregory the Great Church (200 St Gregory Ct, Buffalo, NY 14221). A burial was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Mt. Calvary Cemetery (800 Pine Ridge Heritage Blvd, Cheektowaga, NY 14225).
