The memory of Anthony A. Caputa (Buffalo, New York), who passed away on September 12, 2024 at the age of 74, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. He was predeceased by: his siblings-in-law, Susan Sandecki, John Sandecki (Anita) and Tom Sandecki. He is survived by: his wife Mary Ellen Caputa; his children, AJ Caputa (Ashley) and Kyle Caputa (Meagan); his grandchildren, Andrew, Xander, Niko, Callan, Mara and John; his sisters, Eloise Gregorio (Rick) and Stephanie Geras (David); and his sibling-in-law Noel Sandecki. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 19th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the C. Mertz and Son Funeral Home, Inc. (911 Englewood Ave, Buffalo, NY 14223). A memorial service will be held on Thursday, September 19th 2024 at 5:00 PM at the same location.

If Memorials desired, they may be made in Tony's memory to an Animal Shelter of your choice.

“To Mary Ellen and the whole family. My wife Jan and I are sorry for your loss. It was good to hear from Tony every so often on the phone to keep up on things. We enjoyed seeing the photos that were posted on facebook every so often. I didn't realize how ill he was. Our thoughts are with you and your family. Love Dan and Jan Caputa.”
