She was predeceased by: her husband Eugene Vavrek; her parents, Hattie Kotch (Tekla) and Thomas J. Rutkoski; and her siblings, Thomas, Edward Rutkoski and Marion Rutkoski Dempsey.

She is survived by: her granddaughter Amy Fisherauer Metzgar (Pete); her great grandchildren, Brentley, Brooklyn Metzgar and Jameson Fisherauer; and her nephew Edward Rutkoski (Marianne). She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
