It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ronald J. Shambo of Brushton, New York, born in Northfield, Vermont, who passed away on June 11, 2023, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Rockwood J. Shambo and Evelyn A. Shambo (Adams); his foster parents, Bernice Gallagher and John Gallagher; his brothers, Edward G. Shambo and Rockwood J. Shambo; and his son Scott Shambo.
He is survived by: his former wife Dianne M. Shambo; his wife Andrea Shambo of Brushton, NY; his children, Meredith Shambo of Albany, NY, Sheryl Benedict of Massena, NY and Shelley Valentin (Robert) of Strongsville, Ohio; his brother William "Bill" Shambo of Hartford, VT.; and his grandchildren, Tye Benedict, Samantha Benedict, Lucas Benedict, Leah Valentin and Emma Valentin.
Memorial contributions may be made in Ronald's name to Hospice of the North Country.
