She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Eugene Malette and Bernadette Malette (Taylor); her brothers, Eugene, Thomas and Richard Malette; her husband Andrew DeBeer; her children, David DeBeer (Elizabeth), Jane Boyea (Jeffrey) and Julie Riley (TJ); her siblings, Roger Malette, Michael Malette (Lori), Carol Parnapy (Gary) and Patricia Braman; her sister-in-law Theresa Malette; and her grandchildren, Thomas Riley (Kellie), Derek Riley (Tracy), Jonathan Wampler (Meagan), Shontelle Riley (Josh), Travis Wampler (Kaylei), Nicola Riley, Brad, Brian and Brooke DeBeer. She was also cherished by nine great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, Leona has requested that donations be made in her memory to the "In the Meantime Fund" at the Brushton-Moira Central School District which provides necessities to less fortunate children in school.
