He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Louis E. Sr. Connell and Jeanne McGlynn Connell; his wife Diane Amyot; his children, Matthew (Kimberly Moore) of Watertown, NY, Justin (Heather) of Camillus, NY and Amy (Zach Marteney) of Yonkers, NY; his siblings, Maureen Petersen (Howard) of Tacoma, WA and John Connell of Auburn, NY.; and his grandchildren, Nathan, Mikayla, Claire, Christopher, Aspen and Catherine.
