We bid farewell to Audrey Jean Whitton of Brownville, New York, born in Carthage, New York, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on October 13, 2024 at the age of 95. Audrey Jean touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Raymond Altmire and Genevieve Altmire (Beahan); her husband Clifford Whitton; her siblings, Harold J. Altmire (Donald), Helen Selley, Elizabeth J. Gerstenschlager (Betty) and Donald F. Altmire; her daughters, Carolyn Hickox Johnston and Donna M. Cloud; and her grandson James W. Cloud (Wes).
She is survived by: her children, David Hickox (Sarah) of Ithaca, NY, Dianne Lane of Watertown, NY, Laurie Tucker (Eric) of Chaumont, NY, Joan Hickox of Watertown, NY, Kimberly O'Brien (Shannon) of Adams Center, NY and Audrey Colello (Michael) of Watertown, NY.. She is also survived by 22 Grandchildren, 33 Great Grandchildren, and 1 Great Great Grandson.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, October 16th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Reed & Benoit Funeral Home (632 State St, Watertown, NY 13601). A funeral Mass was held on Thursday, October 17th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Immaculate Conception Church (119 W Main St, Brownville, NY 13615).
