He was predeceased by: his parents, Edmund VanDeMark and Grace Gee VanDeMark. He is survived by: his wife Ann Whittaker VanDeMark; his children, Shelli (Rick Miller) and Scott VanDeMark (Bekah); his grandchildren, Carter, Hunter, Beck Kendig, Andrew and Alexis VanDeMark; his sister Joyce Williams; and his extended family, Arn and Kris Johnson. He is also survived by his three brothers in law, several nieces, nephews.
