She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernfrid Peterson and Alma Peterson; her spouse Thomas Gavitt Sr.; her child Thomas Jr. (Katie); and her sister Edith Goodwin.
She is survived by: her children, Frederick (Jeannie), Helen Poore (Danny), Joseph (Carol) and Robert (Teresa).
Visitation was held on Sunday, February 2nd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM, from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Monday, February 3rd 2025 at 9:00 AM at the Marine Park Funeral Home, Inc. (3024 Quentin Rd, Brooklyn, NY 11234). A Mass was held on Monday, February 3rd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Resurrection R. C. Church (2331 Gerritsen Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11229).
