With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Thomas Henry Gavitt Jr. (Brooklyn, New York), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 27, 2024. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He is survived by: his significant other Kathryn; his daughter Kathryn Scriven Mary (Clarence); his grandchildren, Kali, Lola and Logan; his mother Vivian Gavitt; his siblings, Frederick Gavitt (Jeannie), Helen Poore (Daniel), Joseph Gavitt (Carol) and Robert (Theresa); and his pet Bonnie.
Visitation was held on Sunday, December 1st 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM, on Monday, December 2nd 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Marine Park Funeral Home, Inc. (3024 Quentin Rd, Brooklyn, NY 11234). A funeral Mass was held on Tuesday, December 3rd 2024 at 10:30 AM at the Resurrection Roman Catholic Church (2325 Gerritsen Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11229). A burial was held on Tuesday, December 3rd 2024 at the Green-Wood Cemetery (500 25th St, Brooklyn, NY 11232).
