She was predeceased by: her mother Frances Holmes; her husband Alkas Miah Hasim; her parent Landrum C. Holmes Sr.; her siblings, Lisa Holmes and Landrum C. Holmes Jr.; her parents-in-law, Henrietta Hasim and Abdul Hasim; her nephew Thomas Cantres; and also Jorfor Hasim.
She is survived by: her daughter Latia M. Ortiz; her son-in-law Ricardo Ortiz; her granddaughters, Keira Miah, Lila Faith and Savanna Hope; her sisters, Cynthia Renee Holmes, Christine Baxter and Patricia Nichols; her mother-in-law Monowara Hasim; and her siblings-in-law, Kudeza Hasim, Rahim Uddin, Aysa Hasim and Rohim Hasim. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and a host of family and friends.
