He is survived by: his brothers, Fred Viglione and Richard "Doc" Viglione; his wife Florence Viglione (Carbonaro); his children, Nancy Viglione Comodo and Frank Viglione; his daughter-in-law Josephine Carbone Viglione; his grandchildren, Christian Comodo, Isabella Viglione, Matthew Viglione and Joseph Viglione; and his siblings-in-law, Marion Viglione, Paula Marsala and Carmine Marsala. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

“Florence and family, just found out about John, Viggy as many called him during our days at MetLife and Cakes from his playing days. We had some great fun times and also remember taking Nancy and our son Michael at the time to Nellie Blye. Also, the time you, he, my wife Inez and I went to visit Hugo Robbiano's parents in the upstate wilderness. It was fun as was the drive home with the 4 of us. John was nothing but smiles and fun.
