It is with great sadness that we announce the death of George R Banat (Brooklyn, New York), who passed away on February 16, 2025, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Hilda and Albert. He is survived by: his sons, Steven and George; his daughters-in-law, Leny and Catherine; his grandchildren, Christina, Stephanie, Elizabeth, Anton, Luke, Veronica and Kyle (Eman); his great grandchild Blaise Amer; and his brothers, John and Robert.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the McLaughlin & Sons Funeral Home (9620 3rd Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11209). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Fourth Avenue Presbyterian Church (6753 Fourth Ave, Brooklyn, NM 11220).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital or Autism Speaks.
