He was predeceased by: his parents, John "Mally" Dowd and Anne "Peggy" Mulvey Dowd; and his brother John M. Dowd Jr.. He is survived by: his siblings, Thomas, James, William, Raymond, Edward, Barbara and Eileen. He is also survived by many cousins and nieces and nephews.
