He was predeceased by: his parents, Maria Socorro Ruiz Hernandez and Caseres Barreras Ortiz; his wife Luz A Lopez; and his siblings, Antonio, Luis and Nivia Barreras Ruiz.
He is survived by: his daughters, Tamara Miranda, Melba Barreras (Abraham Nazario), Liurma Ruiz and Lynethe Cerruto (Joseph Cerruto); his grandchildren, Carlos Rivas, Kaitlyn Rivas, Abraham Nazario, Jaileen, Nazario, Roberto Ramos, Aaron Ramos, Alexandra Peralta, Luis Vila, Emily Vila, Valerie and Alice Cerruto; and his sister Lucinda Barreras Ruiz. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held on Sunday, December 1st 2024 from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Lockwood Funeral Home (255 21st St, Brooklyn, NY 11215).
