It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carmen Hernandez of Brooklyn, New York, who passed away on September 13, 2024, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Simon Hernandez; her sons, Carlos Manuel Robles and Albert Hernandez; her great grandchild Andrew; and her siblings, Rosa Cordero and Juan Ramon Cordero.
She is survived by: her daughters, Yvette Robles and Linda Moncayo; her grandchildren, Roy, Jr., Melinda, Albert Simon, Colleen, Brandon, Manuel, Katiria and Megan Yvette; her great grandchildren, Christian, Eliezer, Ezequiel, Adrianna, Sophia, Novus, Carter, Atlas and Leilani; and her sister Evelyn Cordero.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 17th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Gerity & Chubenko Funeral Home (411 Amboy Ave, Woodbridge Township, NJ 07095). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, September 18th 2024 at 8:30 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Wednesday, September 18th 2024 at 9:00 AM at the St. James R. C. Church (145 Grove St, Woodbridge Township, NJ 07095). A burial was held on Wednesday, September 18th 2024 at the Alpine Cemetery (703 Amboy Ave, Perth Amboy, NJ 08861).
