She was predeceased by: her mother Demencia Ortiz of Culebra; her grandparents, Sandalia Amaro Esperanza and Eulogio Ortiz; her sister Gladys Burgos; and her close friends, Chenco, Norma, Maria and Doña Mary.
She is survived by: her great grandchild Malcom; her daughter Rosalea Serrano; her grandson Rosen Owen Serrano; her children, Luisa A. Helms and Luis G. Serrano DeJesus (Carrie) of Youngstown, Ohio; her siblings, Eva, Carmen, Marina, Nelly, Lola, Isabel, Julia and Indio; her grandchildren, Holli Joy, Daniel (Sasha), Rachel Tiffani-Amber (Malcolm Sr.), Anyssa Petey (James) and Imalei (Darrell); her great grandchildren, Malcolm Jr., Jaileah, Micah, Jimmy, Brycen, Jayden, Bentley (Daniel) of Jabari, LOS, Mateo, Cody Jr., Ace, Mathias, Myles, Ryleigh, Melo, Ellianna and Roman; and her godsons, Junito, Jamel and Ruben. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, even some great great nieces and great great nephews.
