He was predeceased by: his parents, Dorothy and George Ruland, Sr.; his aunt Dorothy; his uncle Jack; and his brother-in-law Peter Petty.
He is survived by: his wife Donna; his son Ryan; his sister Elisa Petty; his siblings-in-law, Lou Lehmann, Arthur Henderson and Diane Lehmann; and his nieces and nephews, Kirk, Kerrin, Kristen, Melissa, Dawn and Mark.
