He was predeceased by: his parents, Patrick Sheridan and Nora Sheridan; his son Peter; and his siblings, John (Shirley), Katherine Doody (Patrick) and Beatrice Sheridan.

He is survived by: his wife Kathleen; his children, Patrick (Carol), Brian (Doreen) and Kathleen Coyne; and his grandchildren, Samantha, Julia, Sean (Alexandra), Jessica, Nora, Jackie, Delia, Kiera, Kathlyn, Emma, Megyn, Catriona, Ella, Grayce and Sara.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Tunnel to Towers Foundation or Alzheimer's Association.
