He was predeceased by: his brother Andrew. He is survived by: his wife Carol; his children, Joseph E. "Chip" Godfrey IV (Amanda Brody) and Kristin Godfrey Kearney (Brian); his granddaughters, Layla and Penelope Kearney; and his brother Chester (Susan).
