He was loved and cherished by many people including: his mothers, Evelyn Elam (Brown) and Virginia; his children, Sylvester and Sarah; his grandparents, John and Hannah; his sisters, Mary Jean and Christine; his close friend Sarah Johnson; his grandson Benjamin Robert Johnson, Jr. (Sylvester); his great grandchildren, Henry Brown, Jamie Brown and Sylvester; his sister Louise Byron; his grandchildren, Gwendolyn Johnson, Regina Brown, Roxanne, Ralph Brown (Kenya Salaudeen), Tonia Hargrove, Khari Cheeley, Nneka Cheeley, Tiara Williams, Tristan Williams, Jamar Lott, Hakim Taylor, Sekou Taylor, Trinier Brown, Janae Brown, Rashard Brown, Julian Brown, Jaden Brown, Jamel Brown, Faisal Salaudeen and Kamal Salaudeen; his extended family, Lizzie, Betty, Nelly, Geraldine, Etta Jean, Cindy, Terrence, Calvin, Marisol, Regina, Erica, Nate, Debby, Benjamin, Vicky, Virginia Anne, Zachary, Jerome, Keith and Crystal; and also, Adabu Cheeley and Kenneth Brooks. He was also cherished by great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
