Mary E. Smith Obituary
We are sad to announce that on March 27, 2025, at the age of 91, Mary E. Smith (Bronx, New York) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid Mary farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Mary is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Mattie Joiner and Henry William Smith; her husband Carl; her sons, Brian and Robert; and her siblings, Irene, Abraham, Rosalee, Samuel and Ruth.
She is survived by: her daughter Deon; and also Henry William Smith. She is also survived by two grandsons; many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews; many friends, neighbors, her church family.
Visitation was held on Friday, April 4th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Bethesda Baptist Church (71 Lincoln Ave, New Rochelle, NY 10801). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 4th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
