She was predeceased by: her parents, Miguel Olivera and Arsenia Olivera (Ayala); and her sister Maria Rodriguez Olivera. She is survived by: her children, Jose Almodovar, Daniel Almodovar and Laurie Almodovar-Williams; her grandchildren, Michael Anthony Almodovar, Daniel Joseph Almodovar and Mya Skye Williams; and her brothers, Andres Olivera and Miguel Olivera.
