She was predeceased by: her parents, Mahadeo Bhagwan and Bishun Dai Mahadeo; her son Peter "Vicky" Laurie; her grandson Raphel Laurie; and her siblings, Socheela "Julie" Bhajan, Gowrah "Pearly" Mahadeo, Ahimkumarie "Shirly" Sugrim, Khemraj "Babu" Mahadeo and Chamlall "Ashok" Mahadeo.
She is survived by: her husband John Cecil Laurie; her nieces and nephews, Rehana Gowrah, Haimawati Benjamin, Seema, Rubin and Seenarine; and her sibling Kamini "Carmin" Mahadeo. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.
