He was predeceased by: his parents, Antonino Messina and Giuseppa Astone; his wife Rosalia; his brother Philip; his sister-in-law Rosalia Messina; his sisters, Angelina Messina and Maria Spina; and his brother-in-law Nicolo Spina.
He is survived by: his children, Josephine Messina of Yonkers, NY, Anthony Messina of Yonkers, NY, Freddie Messina of Myrtle Beach, SC and Frank Messina of Grahamsville, NY; his son-in-law Gregory Seda of New Rochelle, NY; his granddaughter Angela Porcelli (William); his great grandchildren, Amelia and Victoria; and his siblings, Salvatore Messina (Joan), Antonio Messina (Anna) and Minnie Salerno (Antonio). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
