She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Bernardo Mercado and Sofia Aponte of Mercado; her spouse Victoriano Hernandez; her siblings, Julia, Maria Antonia, Olga Iris, Carmen Consuelo, Carmen Dolores, Bernardo Jr., Jose Antonio and Juan Antonio; and her children, Nydia Rosa, Victor Manuel, Elizabeth, Luis Antonio, Sandra, Carlos, Lissette, Jose and Janet. She was also cherished by her 12 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
