He was predeceased by: his parents, Giuseppe Assalone and Rosa Assalone; and his siblings, Antonio, Pasquale and Maria.
He is survived by: his wife Rosa; his son Joseph; his daughter-in-law Carmela; his daughter Maria; and his grandchildren, Domenick and Christine. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, January 12th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Sisto Funeral Home (3489 E Tremont Ave, Bronx, NY 10465). A funeral Mass was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Saint Frances de Chantal Church (190 Hollywood Ave, Bronx, NY 10465). An entombment was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 at 11:15 AM at the Saint Raymond's Cemetery (2600 Lafayette Ave, Bronx, NY 10465).
