He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Katina Kessiglou and Leonidas Constantine Papson (Papadopoulos); his wife Maria Elena Papson; his children, Elias, Andreas and Katina; his grandchildren, Joshua, Naiya and Leonidas; his sister Vicky Papson; and his former wife Magdalene Malavazos (Magda).

The family requests that any gifts in his name be made to either the Native American Children's Fund, St. Jude's Hospital or Make a Wish Foundation.
