He is survived by: his wife Ellen; his children, Mark Van Der Karr (Blossom Murphy), John Van Der (Anne), Karen Cottom (Dan) and Carol Van Der Karr; and his grandchildren, Jane Van Der Karr (Joseph Pace), Eric Van Der Karr (Jessica Li), Christopher Cottom, Sarah Van Der Karr, Ryan Cottom and Mitchell Cottom. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
