She was predeceased by: her husband Edward L. Shields. She is survived by: her children, David Shields (Nancy R.), Nancy S. Lindquist (late Arne) and Patricia S. Pfister (Donald); and her friend Fred Conradt. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild.

In lieu of flowers, those wishing may contribute to the Orleans County Office for the Aging in Olean's memory.
