She was predeceased by: her parents, George Rich and Nina Rich (Williams); her son Eric Scott Carpenter; her husband James Secord; her brother G. Eugene; and her sister-in-law Victoria Rich (Ramsey).
She is survived by: her son Karl Martin Carpenter (Susan); and her grandchildren, Ryan Carpenter (Jennifer), Patricia Vinti (Mario), Aaron Carpenter (Taryn) and Nicolas Carpenter. She is also survived by six great grandchildren.
