He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth Eglin and Alta Sanders Eglin; and his siblings, Dale, Keith Eglin and Bonnie Horton-Olbie.
He is survived by: his children, Ruth, Lorraine Eglin (Frank), Jim Eglin (Mary Jo), Aron Eglin (Lisa), Kenneth Eglin (Megan) and Kyle Eglin (Mandy); his grandchildren, Tiffany, Cody Sweet, Christopher, Stella and Shilynn Eglin; his stepgrandchildren, Taylor and Madison Elmendorf; his great grandchild Paxton; and his brothers, Roger, Todd, Scott Eglin and Floyd "Joe" Richardson. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
